Bodybuilding Advice: Five Basic Nutrition Tips for a Healthier You

Proper nutrition is the best way to become a healthier you when bodybuilding. You may have heard these nutrition tips before, but it never hurts to be reminded again.

Here are five ways to become a healthier you: 
  1. Eat a variety of types of food. Ideally, you should consume three servings a day of lean protein and a minimum of four servings of vegetables and fruits. You should also have three to four servings of dairy for calcium and eat approximately four servings minimum of whole grains. 

  2. Watch fat intake, but do not eliminate it completely. You need fat in your diet. The healthy, unsaturated kinds are what helps you to begin the process of bodybuilding or muscle toning. They also help boost your immune system.

  3. Make sure your body takes in enough vitamins and minerals. Adequate supplies of vitamins are necessary if you want to increase your stamina, boost your metabolism and improve your health. Up to 90% of lung cancer incidences occur in people who smoke. However, sometimes it can occur in people who hang around people who smoke. I think it is time you asked yourself if you really are safe from lung cancer.

You also need to learn what you might need to do to be certain that you are. There are many actions you can take to help reduce your risk. 

Ask smokers to go outside so you do not have to breath in the air.

How to Wash Your Hair the Proper Way



If you have issues with your hair it could be because you are not washing it right. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about washing your locks.  


To wash your hair the proper way it is advised that you follow these steps: 


Brush your hair thoroughly. This will help remove the tangles before you step into the shower. If you have longer hair, start from the ends and comb a little, then gradually work your way up to combing longer strokes to the top of your head. This will help prevent tangling and knotting. 


Wet your hair with warm water. This will help open up your hair follicles (skin pores). That way, you can clean out any grease or dirt that would otherwise build up on your scalp. 


Rinse with cold water after washing. When you do, this helps close the hair follicles. This will prevent any dirt, oil, bacteria, or other materials from accumulating in the glands of your scalp. 


Apply shampoo to your scalp. Use only the amount recommended, which usually is about a dime or quarter size. You can rub the shampoo in your hands to kick-start the lathering process, and then massage the hair soap deeply and thoroughly into your scalp. 


Rinse and repeat, or use conditioner. Try not to wash your hair too many times in one day or in one week. However, if your hair is extra-dirty you may want to repeat the above washing steps. 


Use the same steps as washing when you apply the conditioner. The only difference is that you should let the conditioner sit for a few minutes. Before you use these steps, please refer to the next section.
